The Ministry for Gozo and Heritage Malta are looking to create a new experience at the heart of the island’s tourism offer. The Gozo Museum (working title) is set to open in 2020. It will be a vibrant cultural space housing a museum about Gozo and its people, an art gallery, temporary exhibition spaces and corporate facilities.
To be housed in what was once the only secondary school on the island, this museum aims to draw visitors to the island to stay longer and delve deeper into this unique culture and history. At the same time it will challenge Gozitans to understand and use their living history and heritage in new ways.
TGAC are currently consulting and workshopping with the client and design teams to develop creative and ambitious interpretive approaches.
