Shaping the story

We’ve been doing a lot of work this year with clients looking to create new experiences in existing spaces. It’s led me to think about the vital importance of the physical shape that a narrative fits into, and how this can totally change its effect.

There is an interaction between text, objects, graphics and media that can take many shapes, these we call ‘stroyshapes’.Often it’s part of a brief to bring about a change of thinking or feeling for the visitor, encouraging them to see a familiar subject with new eyes.

The film here looks at one way the layout of a space can help bring this about. It’s just one of many ‘storyshapes’ that we work with. You’ll need the sound turned on to get the most from this!
