In 2015 TGAC developed the content for the new Digital Heritage Trail at King’s Cross, delivered on the innovative City-Insights Platform. This trail went live in August.
King’s Cross is experiencing dramatic change and is set to be London’s newest postcode N1C at the heart of the Knowledge Quarter. Working with digital specialists City-Insights, we researched and scripted multimedia trail through the area that people can access on any smartphone or tablet. Content includes archive images and film, filmed interviews, stories and poems, paintings and architecture, oral history and songs.
Research was the key to making this project work so we collaborated with local image libraries, museums, acting schools and the University of the Arts. Scripting for media is a specialist task and we worked hard with the City-Insights team to make sure that word and image worked together to draw users into the to-mobile experience and enhanced their visit to the site.
Following a highly successful launch at the King’s Cross Knowledge Quarter Curious? event, the trail is now permanently available to visitors. Try it for yourself at: www.kxplorer.com/past.Here are just a couple of the great images from the trail.
